구는 관광특구 해운대를 국내외에 널리 알리고 해운대 소개의 표준 모델을 발굴하기 위해 11월 17일 영어로 말하는 해운대 관광 안내 경연대회를 개최했다. 부산아쿠아리움의 후원으로 진행된 이날 대회에서는 예선을 통과한 13명이 직접 영어로 발표하는 시간을 가졌다. 심사결과 백지연 양(해운대관광고)이 대상의 영예를 안았다. 수상작을 소개한다.

First of all, if you are planning to tour some spots here, you will want to know a little about the history, the origin of the name, the location and so on. Learning about the places that you are going to visit is very helpful.
So now, Ill explain to you about the origin of the name, the history of HaeUndae and its location. Haeundae is located at the southern part of eastern Busan. The name Haeundae was named after a scholar name Jeewon Choi from the end of the Shilla dynasty. After the scholar gave up his career in politics, he stayed in Haeundae and engraved the name Haeundae on the southern rock of the Dongbaek Island. That was the start of the history of Haeundae.
Now we have a little knowledge about Haeundae, so lets start the tour. Haeundae beach is the most famous sightseeing place in Busan. So many people visit here to spend their summer holidays. Haeundae beach and its summer resorts are not the only well-known place in Haeundae.
Dongbaek island, Nurimaru and Mystery of Oryuk island are places visited by many tourists. Especially, Nurimaru in Dongbaek island is the place where APEC took place.
On the top of Dongbaek island, you can see the bronze statue of Jeewon Choi. There is also a Busan aquarium very close to Haeundae beach. You can experience 250 species and a total number of 35,000 deep-sea fish here. Not only Children but also adults hope to visit the aquarium to enjoy the sight.
Gwangalli beach is famous for Gwangan Bridge. Gwangan Bridge is the longest bridge in Korea. Furthermore, it also includes Koreas highest and most fine lighting system which displays brilliant light. And the flame work which just took place a few days ago is also a yearly festival. Because of the wonderful fireworks display, people from Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing, London and NewYork... visit so they can be involved in the large crowd. At night, Gwangalli displays brilliant lights that melt everyones mind. When you come to watch the sight, you should leave your hearts at the hotel.
