Located in Bansong-dong, Unsongje Shrine is a shrine built to commemorate the two fallen defenders of the Dongnae Fortress during the Japanese invasions of Korea—Moon Deok-gyeom and Moon Se-hwi. After the Liberation of Korea, an altar named “Sanguidan” was built to honor the two. Today’s building was completed in 1979 to replace the old altar.
A memorial ceremony is conducted on April 14 of the lunar calendar.
