  • Location : San 73, Seokdae-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan

This building commemorates the filial piety of the members of the Yeongyang Cheon clan of the Seokdae-dong area, namely, Cheon Seong-tae (1719–1789) and his sons across four subsequent generations, as well as Lady Kim of Gimhae, the wife of the fourth-generation descendant to Cheon. The family’s virtue was well known even among their contemporaries in 1752, and records of recommendation and testimonials from the region’s scholars can be found in Busan Museum, thanks to donations from the descendants on February 23, 2006. The building was not completed during the Joseon period. Thus, today’s building was completed in March 1960 based on a commendation issued in 1918, and it was relocated to its present site in April 1988 after being torn down temporarily for construction work in the mountains nearby. A memorial ceremony is held every May 5.
